After a few teasers posted on its Facebook account, Volkswagen Philippines finally revealed the latest addition to its local lineup. And it's not a new model.
Confirming what we saw displayed at the brand's BGC showroom last week, Volkswagen Philippines introduces three new colors to its popular T-Cross subcompact crossover nameplate.
But fret not, if you've been eyeing this gem of a ride for a while and you like the "individualistic vibe" the T-Cross projects, then Volkswagen Philippines says the latest three hues - Makena Torquise, Pure White, and Moonstone Grey, will "add a whole new spectrum of driving excitement and identity statement."
The three new colors add to the other choices already available for the T-Cross - Syringa Violet, Tribu Yellow, and Romance Red.
The T-Cross display unit we spotted at the AC Motors Centrale showroom before this announcement by Volkswagen Philippines had 18-inch wheels mounted. But a sales consultant at the site reminded our writer Mark Policarpio that these were merely optional items for T-Cross buyers to consider.
What else is new?
Well, that's pretty much it.
The Volkswagen T-Cross continues with its 1.5-liter Multi-Point Injection Euro 6 engine and six-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission. It still produces 113 PS and 145 Nm of torque, which should be just right in the urban space where this crossover will most likely be seen.
The small crossover is still built to the company's precise German-engineered standards. VW Philippines assures T-Cross buyers of the model's consistent, solid, and world-class build.
You'd be happy to note that Volkswagen Philippines only requires a once-a-year periodic maintenance service for the T-Cross and its other models. The company says this reduces the T-Cross' cost of ownership by 20% versus its competitors.
Meanwhile, warranty coverage is good for three years, or 100,000 kilometers, whichever comes first. And VW Philippines has a three-month stock of parts, enhanced service quality with its Express Service program, free 24/7 Emergency Roadside Assistance, and trained technicians to work on your T-Cross should you decide to get one.
What do you think of these colors? Would they make you want to consider a Volkswagen T-Cross now?
