Volkswagen Philippines has been quiet with its T-Coss lately, only recently unveiling new colors for its small SUV.
However, the brand seems to have launched another round of updates to the vehicle. But, it looks like it's dealership-specific.
The Volkswagen Iconic Dealership Inc Facebook page has released photos of the new Volkswagen T-Cross+, which shows various upgrades over the standard crossover. It is priced at ₱1,317,500 and comes with its three-year or 100,000-km warranty intact.
On the outside, the T-Cross+ remains the same as the standard 180 MPI AT SE model. However, it now gets new exclusive body decals on the sides.
The crossover also gets a set of new sporty black chrome 17-inch wheels, adding a classy vibe.
Inside, it remains the same as the standard variant. But this time, it comes with an Enhanced Power Pedal Box throttle sensitivity accessory. The pedal box is positioned on the steering column to be within reach quickly.
Something to note is that the pedal box adds no extra power to the crossover, but the device lets the throttle body open up faster and broader compared to stock programming, offering you a more responsive feel. It also comes with several modes and levels of adjustability so that you can get to the level of sensitivity that works best for you.
According to Rochelle Arias-Ambayec, General Sales Manager of Volkswagen's Ayala dealerships, the T-Cross+ Edition can be purchased either in Pure White,Tribu Yellow, Monstone Grey and Romance Red unit colors. The new Makena Turquiose shade is also doable, but the graphics would take away from its psychedelic luster, wouldn't it?
The Volkswagen T-Cross+ can now be viewed at the Volkswagen BGC-Taguig dealership and in the Greenfield District dealership in Mandaluyong. There is a lead time involved in ordering it, so it would be best to visit either dealership to make a reservation.
Volkswagen introduced the T-Cross to the Philippine market in March of 2021. It was the German brand's way of saying it wanted a piece of the growing subcompact crossover segment. The new crossover offers interested buyers exciting features, such as a large infotainment system and a sunroof.
The T-Cross also sports a color-keyed interior trim, which gives the crossover a more youthful and brighter cabin.
Volkswagen Philippines has yet to release an official statement on whether the T-Cross+ will officially be part of its local lineup of vehicles.
Should Volkswagen Philippines make the T-Cross+ a standard variant for the crossover?
