Lexus Manila, the official importer and distributor of Toyota's luxury brand in the Philippines, has introduced a new variant to its ES lineup.
The company said in a press statement that it has brought in the ES 300h Luxury variant, which slots above the ES 300h Executive. The range-topper remains to be the ES 350 Premier.
The ES 300h Luxury adds to the Executive model by offering:
-
18-inch alloy wheels
-
Rain-sensing wipers
-
A 10-way, power-adjustable driver's seat with memory function
-
An 8-way, power-adjustable passenger seat
-
Kick sensor for the power-operated trunk
-
A 12.3-inch multi-function display
The ES 300h is powered by a 2.5-liter, twin-cam, 16-valve inline-4 connected to an electric motor. The drivetrain produces a combined 218 PS and 221 Nm of torque coursed through a continuously variable transmission.
Meanwhile, the ES 350 is powered by a 3.5-liter, twin-cam, 24-valve V6 with 302 PS and 356 Nm of torque. This is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
As with many hybrids, the ES 300h Luxury features a regenerative braking system, along with Lexus Safety Sense. The latter includes features like lane departure alert, radar-guided cruise control, and an adaptive high-beam system.
Ultimate hybrid-electric ES
Lexus Manila said the ES 300h Luxury offers equipment closer to the range-topping Premier while offering the smoothness and economy of a hybrid-electric vehicle.
The new variant comes with a redesigned front grille and headlights that follow Lexus' eye-catching "spindle grille" design philosophy. Down the side, pronounced shoulder lines lead to a traditional sedan rear end that still reflects design cues from the front.
Lexus Manila also said the ES 300h Luxury will get interior colors similar to the Premier.
The company added that all new ES 300h models will get an 8-year warranty for the hybrid-electric battery, which is located under the rear seats.
The ES 300h Luxury is priced at P4,218,000, while the ES 300h Executive costs P3,838,000, and the ES 350 Premier costs P4,828,000.
