Mitsukoshi BGC in Taguig City is touted as the Philippines’ first Japanese-inspired mall, housing numerous renowned Japanese brands.
One such brand is Lexus, the luxury division of Toyota Motor Philippines. The company announced in a January 2023 press statement that it has opened a showroom inside the upscale mall.
The location will house the carmaker’s electrified vehicles, such as the recently launched Lexus RX crossover.
“The space is as stylish as the brand, created in the easily recognizable “spindle grille” that has become a design icon for the Lexus brand,” Lexus Philippines said.
“Intricately woven in Cebu, it has been crafted to transform into a Nest Box, using local materials such as Capiz shells, rattan, and natural wood, which are also found in the furniture, lighting fixtures, and décor of the space,” the company added. “The columns wrapped with natural, local wood holds up the focal point of the space.”
Lexus Philippines also said the space could also be used for events exclusively for Lexus customers. There will also be brand merchandise, sportswear, and Japanese traditional crafts available.
Clients can also admire the latest Lexus offerings in the showroom’s lounge, much like the one in the Lexus Manila showroom, also located in Bonifacio Global City.
“The Lexus Spirit of “Crafted” goes beyond being seen,” the company said. “The fusion of ‘Omotenashi,’ the Japanese term for the utmost taking care of one’s guest, and the Philippines’ world-class warmth and hospitality is an experience to be enjoyed.
