Mazda Thailand has propelled the unused 2022 Mazda 3 with a modern paint wrap up and hardware upgrades. Separated from the section variation that saw a slight increment of 10,000 baht (around RM 1.3k), costs of the upper-rung variations have kept up over the pre-updated demonstrate.
Current selling prices for the locally-assembled (CKD in Thailand) new 2022 Mazda 3 (Sedan and Liftback) in Thailand are:
New 2022 Mazda 3 SP – 1,198,000 baht (≈Php 1,895k)
Mazda 3 2.0 SP (top)
Mazda 3 2.0 C (bottom)
The entry variant now gets LED daytime running lights, reverse sensor, and rear view camera as standard. Meanwhile, the range-topping SP variant gains a sunroof.
The Cruising & Traffic Support (essentially Mazda’s Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go) has been upgraded to work up to 145 km/h.
Also new is the Platinum Quartz Metallic paint, which was seen in the refreshed Mazda 2 in Thailand earlier this year. AutoFun reports that the new paint accounts for 30 percent of total bookings, making it the most popular colour, followed by Polymetal Grey and Soul Red Crystal.
Apart from those, the 2022 Mazda 3 is largely the same as before. Power comes from a naturally-aspirated 2.0-litre that makes 165 PS/213 Nm, mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Closer to home, we've previously reported that the Mazda 3 has been sold out here and the updated 2022 Mazda 3 is expected to hit our shores soon, which will remain as a fully-imported (CBU Japan) model.
