Honda Philippines is set to launch the 2024 Honda City on July 13, with dealerships already accepting reservations for the refreshed sedan.
While Honda Philippines hasn’t revealed too much about the upcoming sedan, it has shown a few key features that will be coming to the updated version of the vehicle.
Honda SENSING
The most significant change to the Honda City is the addition of Honda Sensing. The sedan now gets access to camera-based Advanced Driver Assist System (ADAS) as standard. It means that the sedan will get access to features such as adaptive cruise control, emergency braking, and lane keep assist, similar to what you can find on the Honda BR-V and Honda Civic.
A new E variant
When the current generation of the Honda City launched in the Philippines, it was available with three different trim levels. The first was the S, the second was the V, and the top-of-the-line model was the RS.
Honda has given it a new entry-level variant for the latest version of the sedan. The new model, the Honda City E Sensing, is priced under ₱1 million to keep it competitive with the rest of the segment.
The Japanese automaker has yet to unveil the actual specifications just yet. Still, the new entry-level model looks good, considering it comes with Honda Sensing right from the dealership floor.
Enhanced connectivity
As for connectivity, the new City gets an improved touchscreen display audio system. The 8-inch infotainment system for all models except for the E variant now comes with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Exterior updates
The updated Honda City also receives a few new cosmetic updates: revised bumpers, new alloy wheel designs, and a new grille.
New color options
Aside from the other updates, the Honda City can now be had in a new Obsidian Blue Pearl for the RS and V models, which is unique to the sedan lineup. The sedan can also be had in the following other colors.
Ignite Red Metallic (RS CVT, V CVT, and S CVT)
Platinum White Pearl (RS CVT and V CVT)
Taffeta White (S CVT and E CVT)
Lunar Silver Metallic (S CVT and E CVT)
Meteoroid Gray Metallic (all variants)
