However, as the test unit is covered in camouflage, it's hard to tell if Kia changed anything else with its MPV.
More tech
Aside from the exterior facelift, we could expect the 2024 Carnival to receive a new infotainment system that supports wireless smartphone mirroring and over-the-air updates.
Called Connected Car Navigation Cockpit (CCNC), it will also likely come with built-in satellite navigation for specific markets.
However, Kia has stated that the new CCNC will first be available on the EV9 and will then trickle down to the likes of the Sorento and Carnival soon after.
We could also see the new Carnival get other updates, including a new digital instrument cluster, blind spot view monitor and more.
Electrified power?
A gasoline-hybrid powerplant may also be put into the facelifted Kia MPV.
It will likely be the turbocharged 1.6-liter inline-4 motor found in the U.S.-market Kia Sportage and Hyundai Santa Fe, producing around 230 PS and 350 Nm of torque.
The facelifted Carnival could also enter the Philippine market as an all-wheel-drive variant, as it has been missing from the brand’s local lineup.
For now, it's a waiting game to see what Kia will do next and if these updates will make it to the Philippines sooner rather than later.
Would a tougher-looking Kia Carnival be a hit in the Philippines?
