The supermoto is a crazy-fun motorcycle as it offers the flickability of a road bike and the plush suspension of an off-roader.
Also known as motard, this type of bike epitomizes the “do anything, go anywhere” mentality in motorcycling.
The Kawasaki KLX300SM is the perfect specimen of what a supermoto should be. Its enduro-racer roots give this motorcycle a strong base for off-road riding potential. Its responsive engine in a lightweight, rider-friendly chassis with high-grade suspension, enables it to deliver an exciting experience on or off the road.
The KLX300SM’s liquid-cooled, DOHC, 292 cc thumper is mounted on a high tensile steel perimeter frame which results in a slim, lightweight package. The highly-rigid aluminum D-section swingarm contributes to low unsprung weight.
The engine offers rider-friendly grunt at low and mid-ranges, and delivers exhilarating pulling power at higher revs – an impressive combination that makes it fun for experienced and novice riders alike. The KLX300SM produces 19 kW and 24 Nm, more than enough grunt for a very engaging ride.
The KLX300SM is fitted with 17” wheels and road tires front and rear, giving it quick handling characteristics and unique styling. This supermoto’s ability to trace a tight line around a corner will have riders smiling in their helmet whether on a short ride around the block or when blasting through a twisty mountain road.
Front and rear petal disc brakes offer impressive stopping performance. The KLX300SM's large 300 mm semi-floating front disc delivers sure stopping power while adding to supermoto looks. and a twin-piston caliper slows the front disc.
The Kawasaki KLX300SM is priced at ₱320,000 and is available now at Kawasaki dealerships nationwide.
Do you see yourself drifting this motard around tight corners in the track?
