Adventure touring is all the rage these days. To make this trend available to a wider range of motorcycle riders, manufacturers have been coming out with "adventure-themed" commuter bikes recently. Yet, Suzuki Philippines (SPH) would not want to let budget constraints limit their customer's riding experience.

Hence, SPH hinted in their social media post that they will be launching a proper adventure bike, the V-STROM 250SX on Friday (Oct. 28, 2022) at the World Trade Center in the upcoming Philippine Performance and Lifestyle Expo. The V-STROM 250SX is the current entry model to Suzuki's legendary V-STROM stable, and by our estimates, it will cost between PHP 200,000 to PHP 250,000.

The V-STROM 250SX is powered by a 249cc oil-cooled thumper with four valves which produces 26.5 PS @ 9,300 rpm and 22.2 Nm @ 7,300 rpm. The V-STROM 250SX features lightweight 19-inch (48.26 cm) front and 17-inch (43.18 cm) rear 10-spoke cast aluminum wheels. The 19-inch (48.26 cm) front wheel with a semi-block style pattern offers stability and excellent control over various road surfaces.

While the V-STROM 250SX is fitted with a conventional front fork, the rear single shock absorber is 7-way adjustable to accommodate specific requirements of each ride, whether it be riding alone, with a passenger, or carrying heavy luggage. Speaking of which, the V-STROM 250SX comes with an aluminum rear carrier with a 6-kilogram load capacity. Still, we are almost sure that Suzuki will also be offering other accessories to help riders customize the V-STROM 250SX to suit individual riding lifestyles.
