Possibilities are limitless as Kia revolutionized the concept of modern family cars when it turned the 2022 Carnival into what they call Grand Utility Vehicle (GUV). It can accommodate up to seven members of your family with its sophisticated and comfortable cabin, which highlights two captain seats that fully recline in the second row. It also comes with a thousand liter of cargo space fit for your family’s vacation necessities and is expandable to an additional thousand liter when third-row seats are tucked down the floor. What I am trying to say is, that it truly is a grand car, a massive vehicle that is more than enough for a family of seven.

Engine and Transmission

Under its hood, the 2022 Kia Carnival holds a 2.2-liter four-cylinder turbocharge diesel-powered engine, the same engine that powers the Kia Sorento. It produces 199 horsepower maximum output and 441-Newton meters of torque in an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT).

Just like other vehicles of the same body size, it requires a particular amount of power coming from the engine and transmission capabilities to aid the engine. Although it carries the same engine as the Sorento, it doesn’t mean that you can expect a similar output from the Carnival since their body size is far much different. It has a decent performance output when you drive it at a low speed or drive it around the city running errands, but it impressively sweeps swiftly when you rev it.

Although, of course, it depends on how much weight it comes with, as to how many people occupy the cabin, including the cargo load at the back. The size of the car, the total weight of all the passengers, and the weight of the cargo load contribute to the overall performance of the car, in this case, the Carnival.
