But what everyone might not know is that you can try out the all-new Ranger Raptor the day after its launch, with Ford Philippines announcing on its Facebook page that it kicking off the sixth year of its Ford Island Conquest event.
The company said it will be offering test drives on May 19 to 21, 2023 at the Arca South Interactive Park in Taguig City from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Aside from the Ranger Raptor, Ford Philippines will also let visitors try out the all-new Territory, along with the next-generation Ranger and Everest.
The ultimate Ranger
Although Ford Philippines has not yet officially released details on the all-new Ranger Raptor, we do know that it continues to be a mighty “factory special” truck.
Based on specifications in Thailand and Vietnam, the Philippines is expected to get the twin-turbocharged 2.0-liter, twin-cam, 16-valve inline-4 diesel engine with 210 PS and 500 Nm of torque, mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission.
However, the turbodiesel model gets a lower level of equipment compared to the V6. For instance, the Fox Live Valve adaptive dampers have been replaced with Fox Performance 2.5-inch non-adaptive dampers.
In addition, the turbodiesel Ranger Raptor loses the locking front differential and the 10-speaker Bang and Olufsen sound system.
Nonetheless, it still gets 4A electronically controlled four-wheel-drive selection, which automatically delivers power to the front and rear wheels, along with multilink rear suspension, suede seats, orange stitching accents, the Raptor-dedicated display and seven selectable driving modes.
