Moreover, the fuel economy of the RWD 2021 Ford Ranger is rated 9-11 kilometers per liter while the FWD is rated to be 8.5-10 kilometers per liter only. We have yet to confirm the new model’s mpg rating but we forecast that it would be much lower than the former.

SIGNIFICANTLY HIGHER PAYLOAD

In terms of showcasing its power, the 2021 model can haul up to 844 kg of payload. That’s significantly higher than Toyota Tacoma’s 524 kg payload. The all-new Ranger is expected to carry more if it’s equipped with a new engine option.

FOUR OR FIVE SEATER CONFIGURATIONS

Should they go with the former or the latter? Why not both? The all-new Ranger was seen testing as a regular cab. If patterns are consistent, we may expect a pickup truck with 2 doors and 5 seats available.

BED LENGTH

On the other hand, bed length variations depend on the type of configurations. For instance, if you buy the SuperCrew variant, it will come with a five-foot bed whilst the SuperCab variants come in with a six-foot bed. Since there will be Regular Cab variants, there may be new bed length options as well.

TRANSMISSION

There’s not going to be much difference from 2021 to 2022 models except for the addition of a seven-speed manual transmission in contrast to the usual ten-speed automatic configuration. 

CONCLUSION

There may or may not be some over-the-top modifications to the all-new 2022 Ford Ranger but we can definitely expect a novel experience once the new model comes out of the factory. Everyone can’t help but speculate on what it’s going to look like when it’s finally available to the market. We can’t either!
