Ford Philippines recently opened a reservation portal for the 2023 Ford Territory. While the website does not reveal much about the next-gen 5-seater crossover SUV, it highlights some key features.
These key features, however, are standard for its segment, but if we dig a little deeper and look at what's available in other markets, such as Vietnam, we can see what new first-time features Ford has added to the vehicle.

Longer and taller
The 2023 Ford Territory features not only redesigned looks, but it's also longer and taller than the outgoing model. Visually, it is a bigger crossover which makes it all the more imposing on the road versus the outgoing Territory. The slight wheelbase bump for the 2023 model should also mean additional space for your knees and toes in the second row.

Optional driving modes
The 2023 Ford Territory in Vietnam now comes with four driving modes. The first is Normal, the second is Eco, the third is Sport, and the fourth is Mountain. These modes will alter the engine's power delivery and transmission to the wheels to give each a unique feel.
As the next-gen Ford Territory is not a 4x4, we suspect the “Mountain” mode will alter the power delivery to provide more grip.
A bigger touchscreen

The 2023 Ford Territory will come with a 12.3-inch infotainment. It will be 2.3 inches bigger than what was available in the older model but will retain features such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
It will function in the same manner as well as the previous model, where the climate controls were operated with the touchscreen.
A bigger digital display

While not yet confirmed for the Philippine market, the Ford Territory, with its Titanium X variant, could come with a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster.
New transmission and rotary-dial shifter

Unlike the old version with a traditional gear shifter, the 2023 Ford Territory has a rotary dial shifter. The new shifter gives the vehicle a more premium aesthetic to the cabin. And with the 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) slated to come with the 2023 Ford Territory, we can say goodbye to the CVT the old one came with.
19-inch wheels

The Ford Territory Titanium X variant in Vietnam comes with 19-inchers all around. The same variant is rumored to be announced next week at the Manila International Auto Show. It will likely have similar specifications as the top-of-the-line spec of our ASEAN neighbor.
We still have to wait for the 2023 Manila International Auto Show for Ford to reveal the full specifications for the next-gen Territory. Until then, we can only hope to get the same top-end features once the Titanium X trim is officially revealed.
Will the 2023 Ford Territory's new specs and goodies make you choose it over another crossover?
