Fledgling Chinese carmaker Jetour Auto Philippines, Inc. (JAPI) is steadily growing its presence locally with the groundbreaking of its newest dealership.
The company announced in a July 2023 press statement that it held a ceremony to kick off the establishment of Jetour Auto Fairview in Greater Lagro, Novaliches City. Construction will start on October 2023, with the dealership expected to open by early 2024.
For the time being, a temporary showroom has been set up where clients can view and test-drive the latest Jetour models.
The 1,200-square-meter permanent facility along Mindanao Avenue Extension will be able to display up to five vehicles on its showroom floor. Owners of the Jetour Ice Cream mini electric vehicle (EV) can also access the new dealership’s battery charging facilities.
In addition, with two fully-equipped service bays, a dedicated pre-delivery inspection area and a parts storage area, the new dealership and service center will be ready to handle basic maintenance and repairs of Jetour vehicles.
Jetour Auto Fairview is managed by North Drive Motors, which was established by five long-time friends in the second half of 2021. It is headed by Harold Co.
“JAPI believes that making the purchase and maintenance of JETOUR vehicles easy and hassle-free is key to establishing trust and nurturing peace of mind between our brand and our current and future customers,” said JAPI managing director Miguelito Jose.
“Together with our new partner, North Drive Motors, we believe we can serve the local community in northern Metro Manila and nearby provinces as we continue to make JETOUR vehicles more accessible and easier to own around the country,” he added.
Aggressive, young brand
JAPI was formally launched locally on March 15, 2023.
The brand currently offers four models: the Dashing, X70 and X70 Plus crossovers, along with the Ice Cream mini EV.
Jetour also offers an industry-leading 6-year/1 million km warranty for all its non-EV models. In addition, the company is building an inventory of spare parts to address concerns of lengthy repairs for Chinese vehicles.
