The newest variant in the Stargazer MPV lineup has been given a tougher-looking exterior thanks to additions to the vehicle.
More rugged
Starting with the exterior of the MPV, it now gets more body cladding on the fenders, a different hood design, a revised grille with black accents, a new set of 17-inch wheels and side accents on the rocker panels to help differentiate it from the rest of the lineup.
It also gets a tailgate-mounted spoiler and unique “Stargazer X” badging at the back, but the vehicle's rear is still the same with its LED taillights.
Despite retaining the same shape as the standard Stargazer, the additions make it look tougher.
Black interior
Instead of the gray interior found in the standard model, the X now gets an all-black interior.
As it is based on the Stargazer GLS, it gets the same features, retaining the 8-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
One noticeable change is that instead of the gray cowl over digital displays inside the vehicle, it has been replaced with piano black plastics for a more premium look.
Aside from this, Hyundai has also removed its manual handbrake and replaced it with an electric one with auto-hold.
Same power
Under the hood, the Hyundai Stargazer X is still powered by a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated inline-4 gasoline engine that produces 115 PS and 144 Nm of torque that is mated to an Intelligent Variable Transmission, the brand’s version of a CVT.
Safety features are also the same between the GLS and the Stargazer X as it receives the following:
Cruise Control
Manual Speed Limit Assist
Lane Keeping Assist
Tire Pressure Monitoring System
Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist
Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist
Forward and Reverse Parking Distance Warning
High Beam Assist
Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist
Safe Exit Warning
Pricing for the lone new variant starts at ₱1,348,000, with three colors available: Dragon Red Pearl, Creamy White Pearl and Magnetic Silver Metallic.
The new MPV also gets a 5-year or 200,000 km warranty, whichever comes first.
