Two of the most popular moto vloggers in the country announced that they will embark on an epic ride around the entire Philippine archipelago on Suzuki Burgman Street scooters.

When asked why they chose 125-cc scooters to ride the 5,400-km loop, they shared the following factors:

  1. Touring vs. racing – Boy P. has already done a Philippine loop on a large-displacement adventure bike and admitted that he did not fully enjoy the trip. He said he wasn’t able to appreciate the scenery because he was riding fast. It is best to ride at a moderate pace to be able to enjoy the journey.
  2. Fuel efficiency – With gas prices these days, riding a fuel-efficient bike is a must. Also, gas stations are far apart in some parts of the route. The Burgman Street can run up to 53.5 km/l and with its 5.6-liter fuel tank, you could go almost 300 km between fill-ups.
  3. The Harabas factor – Small bikes have less equipment that could potentially fail. They also tend to be more robust than their bigger siblings and could therefore inspire more confidence when exploring remote places.
  4. Easily relatable – The Suzuki Burgman Street is one of the most popular scooters in the country. Hence, more of their audience could easily relate to their journey experience.

If you would like to send them off, be at Juan Moto Avenue in Santa Maria, Bulacan on Sept. 14 at 5 a.m.
