The 2024 Chevrolet Trailblazer has made its debut in the United States, featuring an updated front and more standard technology. A total of three variants are available for the crossover, LS, LT Activ, and RS.
The changes to the crossover SUV begin with its front, as it now boasts narrower, sharper headlights on the upper section of its massive grille. Aside from this, its lower lamps are now oval-shaped. It also comes with a trapezoidal opening on its lower grille.
New colors are also available for the crossover, including Copper Harbor Metallic and Cacti Green.
The Trailblazer RS trim has black exterior trims, a trapezoidal mesh pattern in the grille, and 19-inch wheels. It also has chrome finished-exhaust tips to give a sportier look to the car.
The LT Activ, on the other hand, has a more rugged variant as it has revised shocks and dampers for better performance off-road.
Same cabin, more tech
On the inside, the 2024 Trailblazer now has an 11-inch diagonal infotainment system. The bigger screen replaces the 7-inch head unit or option 8-inch monitor.
The bigger infotainment system supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Other additions to the 2024 model include an 8-inch driver display that replaces the old 4.2-inch unit.
New standard equipment
The Chevrolet crossover SUV has new standard technology, including a push-button start, cruise control, and a high-definition rear-facing camera. A wireless phone charger is available on the LT, Activ, and RS models.
Unchanged power
Under the hood, the 2024 Chevrolet Trailblazer retains its 1.2-liter turbocharged three-cylinder and its 1.3-liter turbocharged 3-cylinder engines. The latter produces 139 PS and 220 Nm of torque, while the former makes 157 PS and 236 Nm of torque.
The 1.2-liter variants are front-wheel drive and are available with a CVT.
The 1.3-liter models are also front-wheel drive and come with a CVT, however, an all-wheel drive option is available, but that comes with a nine-speed automatic transmission instead.
Chevrolet Philippines has yet to release an official statement if these changes will be brought into the locally sold Trailblazer. For now, it's a waiting game to see what the Golden Bowtie brand has in store.
Should Chevrolet Philippines bring in the 1.3-liter engine with all-wheel drive for the Trailblazer?
