The 2024 Nissan GT-R was unveiled at the 2023 Tokyo Auto Salon with a new Premium T-Spec model and Nismo Special Editions. 

The 2024 GT-R also received reworked aerodynamics from redesigned bumpers and a new wing.

Aside from this, the performance car gets a new exhaust system designed for better flow and quietness. 

The Nissan GT-R may be an old-timer in the performance car world, but it's still going strong, especially with these recent minor updates.

Reworked styling and aerodynamics

The 2024 Nissan GT-R has subtle styling differences that help make the vehicle sleeker.

These come from a redesigned grille and a fascia that brings straighter lines to the GT-R’s face. Its side intakes have been integrated into the main grille profile, and its corner daytime running lights have returned with a new honeycomb design.

At the rear, the 2024 Nissan GT-R gets a new, more aerodynamic bumper as the area between its diffuser and taillights has been reshaped to taper less than the older model. 

The GT-R also gets bigger rear fog lamps sitting right between the center diffuser opening. 

Tweaks to the chassis have also been made to give it a more comfortable ride with reduced noise and vibration. 

Nissan has also reworked the exhaust system of the GT-R to be a bit quieter to comply with Japan’s new noise regulations but with better flow. The automaker has also added burnt titanium tips to the vehicle’s quad exit exhaust. 

Nissan's mighty 3.8-liter V6 lives on

Under the updated bodywork, the 2024 Nissan GT-R is still equipped with a 3.8-liter V6 twin-turbocharged gasoline engine.

It's as potent as ever as it still generates 570 PS and 633 Nm of torque for the regular variants and 600 PS with 652 Nm of torque for the Nismo model.

It also retains its six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and the ATTESA ET-S all-wheel-drive system.

The new Premium T-Spec model

The automaker has brought back the limited-edition GT-R T-Spec version that comes with the Millennium Jade and Midnight Purple color options for this latest rendition of the Nissan GT-R. 

Aside from this, the T-Spec model also comes with 20-inch gold wheels made by Rays and the Nismo carbon ceramic brakes.

The NISMO GT-R is still the top dog

The Nissan GT-R NISMO is the pinnacle of the model lineup you can get from the dealership floor.

As it makes more power than the standard model, Nissan has given it a few extra features to help you control it. The Nissan GT-R NISMO now comes with a front limited-slip differential to increase its mechanical grip and has bigger carbon ceramic rotors for better stopping power.

The NISMO version also has more aggressive bodywork with carbon fiber found on the roof, hood, fenders, side sill covers, outer mirror housings, and its new special wing. This new wing has been made 10% larger and now uses a swan neck upright to optimize downforce for the vehicle. 

Inside, the NISMO GT-R retains the same cabin layout as the regular model but gets exclusive Recaro carbon back bucket seats that give a better feel for the driver while also increasing comfort.

The 2024 Nissan GT-R is expected to hit the global market around mid-2023, with the NISMO version set to follow soon after.

It is still being determined if Nissan Philippines will bring in the 2024 model, but it's still possible that they may launch it with the upcoming Nissan 400Z simultaneously.
