What to Expect from Hyundai’s Accent 2022?

South Korean multinational automaker Hyundai Motor Company or commonly known as Hyundai has revealed their 2022 version of the Hyundai Accent. And for this year, the Accent is available only in sedan, unlike the past years, this model was available in both sedan and hatchback. Hyundai has been making the Accent since 1994, and this year, the company promises a better driving experience.

Clearly, Hyundai Accent has already marked its name on every road as this subcompact sedan model has gained popularity in its several years of existence. Hyundai has proven success in continuing the Accent’s journey across countries, including the Philippines.

Hyundai Accent is available in the Philippine automotive market in six engine and transmission variants. Listed below are the 2022 prices for each variant.

Exterior

There are five color variants available in Hyundai Accent 2022 in the Philippines that includes Star Dust, Phantom Black, Fiery Red, Sleek Silver, and Polar White. Contributing to the Hyundai Accent’s exterior appearance are its large and adjustable halogen headlamps, integrated signal antenna, power-adjustable rear-view mirror, its new wide cascading front grille, and 15-inch steel wheel rims, wheel covers, prominent shoulder line across both doors, and segment rear lamps. Its six horizontal slats, large headlamps, and sculpted body give the Hyundai accent a sporty and dynamic appeal.

Interior

Hyundai Accent 2022 has grown up its interior appearance with a sporty-looking finish and spacious cabin and wide legroom than its previous version. Its interior comes with seatback pockets, central door locks, vanity mirrors, conventional gauges, and rear headrests. This Hyundai model features electric rearview mirrors and electric windows, as well. And its seating is in a comfortable cloth finish material. The trunk of the Accent has a capacity of up to 388 liters. The infotainment of the 2022 version remains the same as the previous version. Its 8-inch LCD touch-screen monitor has Bluetooth, USB, AUX with six speakers, Radio, and Mp4 functions for your entertainment on the road.

Performance

There are two engine options available in Hyundai Accent 2022, the 1.6-liter Turbo Diesel Engine, which produces 126 horsepower and 260 Nm of torque, and the 1.4-liter Gasoline Engine, which produces 99 horsepower and 132 Nm of torque. Both engine options are available in either 6-speed manual transmission or 6-speed automatic transmission. Its suspension comes on a MacPherson strut with coil springs and a torsion beam axle. The car’s layout is in a front-wheel-drive in a front-engine set-up.

 Safety

Hyundai Accent comes with dual SRS airbags on the driver’s seat and the front passenger seat for its top-of-the-line variant. For its lower variants, airbags can be installed separately. Power door locks and a central locking system are available.
