2022 Toyota Land Cruiser 300: Everything you need to know is here

In the lineup of premium full-size SUVs, the Toyota Land Cruiser is one of the most powerful back then and today. It has been known because of its robust powertrain components and premium finishes. Variants

The 2022 Toyota Land Cruiser 300 is available in four variants in the Philippine market. Its base variant Toyota Land Cruiser 300 VX Automatic Transmission is priced at Php5,210,000 while Php5,225,000 for its premium color Pearl Crystal Shine variant. The top-of-the-line Toyota Land Cruiser 300 ZX Automatic Transmission variant is available at Php5,672,000 and is priced at Php5,687,000 when you had it in the Precious White Pearl color variant.

Aside from the Pearl Crystal Shine and the Precious White Pearl, the LC 300 is also available in Silver Metallic, Attitude Black Mica, and Grey Metallic colors.

Powertrain System

The 2022 LC 300's body-on-frame chassis has been enhanced making it 200 kilograms lighter than the LC 200 series. It carries a 3.3-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine that produces 306 horsepower and 700 Newton-meters of torque at 1,600 rpm mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission in a 4x4 drivetrain configuration.

Exterior

The 2022 version of the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 has changed a lot from the previous. The front fascia features a redesigned massive radiator grille topped with black and chrome horizontal slats and a huge Toyota badge at the center complementing the wide kink on the hood above. On each side of its face are sleek LED headlights with L-shaped sequential LED daytime running lights below, matched to the fog lamps with chrome accents on the bumper.

On the side, the body shape of the Land Cruiser is very distinguishable as this full-size SUV still features a masculine-looking build like before. It is adorned with chrome accents surrounding the windows, door handles, and wing mirrors – which also come with repeaters and blind-spot monitoring. For the wheels, the LC 300 ZX variant gets 20-inch alloy wheels on 265/55 series tires, while the LC 300 VX variant gets 18-inch alloy wheels. The top-of-the-line variant also gets a full step board, black roof rails, and character lines on the fenders which add to the overall macho look of the LC 300's side profile.

At the back, the Land Cruiser 300 features a wide rear surface that looks classic. It has a massive Toyota logo at the center, right above the spelled Land Cruiser badge. On each side of the logo are its LED rear lights with sequential LED turn indicators. Down below, it has chrome and black accents on the rear bumper with a square hole at the center provided to place a tow hook.

Interior

For a premium full-size SUV like the Land Cruiser 300, it tops its competitors in terms of design and functionalities. The interior of the LC 300 features a highly functional and premium-looking dashboard that comes in soft leather and a machine-cut wood finish, including the steering wheel. The steering wheel also comes with driving assistance and infotainment system controls for easy access and is power-adjustable.

Behind the steering wheel is a seven-inch multi-information display with an Optitron effect, paired with the 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen at the center of the panel. The entertainment sound is transmitted to a 14-speaker JBL sound system for the top-of-the-line variant and a 10-speaker JBL sound system for the lower variant. Below the infotainment display are some controls that are designed in black and white buttons and knobs, including the air-con vents and a CD player.

Aside from the steering wheel, the seats of the LC 300 also come six-way power-adjustable and eight-way power-adjustable with memory for the driver and are impressively comfortable because of their soft finish with heating and cooling function. The legroom and the headroom space are generous enough to sit tall people inside the cabin. There are also air-con vents and cup/bottle holders around the cabin, including in the middle of the second row, plus a sunroof at the ceiling. To access the cargo space, its tailgate automatically opens up upon pushing a button and the rear seats fold flat with a button at the back.

Safety and Security

When it comes to safety, the Land Cruiser 300 is one of the safest Japanese-made cars today with its prime set of features including an anti-lock braking system, door ajar warning, parking sensors, hill-start assist control, hill-descent assist control, park assist, traction control, engine check warning, rear camera, and a 360-degree camera. It also has six airbags, seat belts with seat belt warning, front and side-impact beams, a vehicle stability control system, day and night rear view mirror, crash sensor, tire pressure monitor, brake assist, adaptive cruise control, and child safety locks.
