Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) officially launched the all-new 2024 Toyota Wigo on July 14, 2023 at the TriNoma Activity Center in Quezon City.

The all-new Toyota Wigo has grown as the small hatchback now measures 3,760 mm in length, 1,665 mm in width and 1,515 mm in height.
As an all-new model, it has a new Daihatsu New Global Architecture chassis with a wheelbase of 2,525 mm and a ground clearance of 160 mm.
As for its exterior kit, the Toyota hatchback comes with split-type LED headlights as standard for all models, along with LED clearance lamps and LED fog lamps.
The G variant gets an LED high-mount stop lamp that isn’t available in the other models. As for the taillights, all models get halogen bulbs.
For its wheels, the all-new Wigo gets 14-inch alloys as standard, with the same design for all variants, wrapped in 175/65 series tires. Stopping power comes from ventilated discs at the front and drum brakes at the back.
As for its suspension, the Toyota hatchback rides on MacPherson struts at the front and a torsion beam at the back.
On the inside, the all-new 2024 Toyota Wigo shares a similar layout to the Toyota Raize crossover, particularly its angular dashboard.
The small hatchback does come with digital climate control for the top-spec model, while lower variants only get manual climate control.
All variants of the Wigo come with fabric seats, with the top-spec model getting 6-way manual adjustability for the driver’s seat, while lower variants get 4-way adjustability.
Regarding technology, the Wigo does come with a push-start function, but it is only available on the G variant. Aside from this, the G and E models get an 8-inch infotainment system that comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard.
Only the J variant has a different head unit that only supports Bluetooth connectivity.
Under the hood, the all-new 2024 Toyota Wigo still uses a 1.0-liter 3-cylinder gasoline engine that produces 67 PS and 89 Nm of torque.
Like before, it is available with a 5-speed manual transmission, but a new Daihatsu Dual-Mode Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) has replaced the old 4-speed automatic.
The Wigo also has a 36-liter tank that is ideal for city and the occasional out-of-town use.
As standard, the all-new Wigo gets dual front airbags, anti-lock brakes, vehicle stability control and hill start assist.
These complement the reversing camera, which is only available on the G variant. There's also reverse sonar on the higher models and a digital video recorder that can only be found on the G model.
The 2024 Toyota Wigo has three variants – one has a manual transmission, while the rest comes with the CVT.
Below is the official pricing:
TMP has kept the pricing of the all-new Wigo still competitive as it's still more affordable compared to the updated 2024 Honda Brio, which was launched the day before.
What do you think of the new Toyota Wigo? Should TMP have brought it in with the bigger 1.2-liter motor?
