The Toyota Yaris Cross is set to launch on August 4, 2023, with Toyota Motor Philippines already releasing teaser images and car spotters “spotting” a convoy of the crossover in various locations.
Toyota has also released an essential list of specifications on its official website to give curious buyers a general idea of what to expect before the official launch of the Yaris Cross in BGC.
Here are a few things we noticed with the “spotted” photos of the Toyota Yaris Cross from Joaquin's Photography and from Camilo Magallon posted on the Interesting Car Spotting PH Facebook page.

We don’t have to look at photos to know that two versions of the Toyota Yaris Cross will be available in the Philippines. But from the sets uploaded by the car spotting community, the hybrid version of the vehicle seemed to be the highlight of the drive.
As for its powertrain options, the first will come with a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated 4-cylinder motor that it shares with the Toyota Vios, and the other is a 1.5-liter hybrid drivetrain new to the country.
While we speculated that the Yaris Cross would have a large infotainment system, it still needed to be confirmed. However, thanks to enthusiasts who posted about the hybrid crossover online and via the brand’s official website, we have confirmed that it will come with a 10.1-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Thanks to car spotters, we discovered that the Philippine market would also get a unique color for the new crossover. We will be getting the Dark Turquoise SE color, which isn’t available in other markets in the ASEAN region. The new color will give the hybrid crossover a unique look from different markets and on the road with its dark shade of blue.
We also noticed blue stitching on the dashboard and seats to signify that the car was a hybrid. Thankfully, there were interior photos from what seemed to be a group drive of Yaris Crosses in the rain.
With the launch set to happen this weekend at BGC, it's only a matter of time before we get the complete and official specifications for the Toyota Yaris Cross in the Philippines and for you to see the car in person.
