Mitsubishi Philippines is now 60 years old in the local automotive market. The Japanese brand is holding a special event at the World Trade Center in Pasay to celebrate the milestone from August 10 to 13.
The event is entirely free for anyone to attend and has special games, prizes, and test drive events in store for those who go.
That said, here is what you can catch at the Mitsubishi 60th Anniversary Expo happening until tomorrow, August 13, 2023.
Mitsubishi Philippines has displayed its complete lineup of vehicles, ranging from the humble Mirage hatchback to its heavy hitter, the Mitsubishi Montero Sport (Specs | News). There are also modified versions of these vehicles that eventgoers can see, along with special edition variants.
You can also see the Mitsubishi Xpander Cross and the Mitsubishi Strada GLS on display. Special discounts can also be offered if you reserve a unit at the event.
You will notice a unique-looking vehicle in one corner of the event hall that stands out from the brand’s local lineup. It hasn’t officially launched yet in the country, but you can touch and feel the upcoming 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV (Specs | News).
The latest version of the brand’s locally available plug-in hybrid brings modern styling from the US market and many new features. We don’t know the exact pricing yet for the all-new Outlander, but we expect it to be somewhere in the neighborhood of ₱2.5 million.
Check it out for yourself as it is displayed in the far right corner of the event hall next to an Overlanding modified Montero Sport and Xpander Cross.
Mitsubishi has also put on display its two concept cars. The first is the XFC, and the other is the XRT. The XFC now has a production model called the Mitsubishi XForce, and the XRT is now called the Mitsubishi Triton, which is expected to launch in the Philippine market sometime in January 2024.
At the event, you will see many nostalgic vehicles, such as the Mitsubishi Lancer “box type,” Mitsubishi L200, Mitsubishi L300 (Specs | News) Versa Van, and Mitsubishi Pajero. Other cars, such as the Mitsubishi Cyborg and the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, are also available.
MMPC is also offering a hefty ₱60,000 discount on brand new models reserved at the venue. And various Mitsubishi car clubs will also be parking along the driveway of the World Trade Center in Pasay City at designated times of the day, so you can check out their rides and be inspired by their creativity.
So, what are you waiting for? Head on over to the Mitsubishi 60th Anniversary Expo while you still can.
