After its appearance at the 2023 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), GAC Philippines has announced the new retail price for the 2023 GAC Emkoo to celebrate its 5th anniversary in the country. 

Effective May 24, the GAC Emkoo will now be priced at ₱1,498,000 for the top-of-the-line GL variant and ₱1,298,000 for the GE variant. The new pricing also applies to those customers who reserved a unit in April when it was launched at MIAS.

For context, these were the original launch prices for the new GAC crossover at MIAS:

Emkoo GE – ₱1,413,000

Emkoo GL – ₱1,553,000

The new pricing sees a significant price drop for the GE model, which is now ₱115,000 more affordable than before. For the GL model, it sees a more modest ₱55,000 drop. Regardless, this makes the GAC Emkoo more attractive than ever, making it a great rival against the Ford Territory and the Jetour Dashing.

The future is now

The GAC Emkoo carries the brand’s latest design language with its futuristic looks both inside and out with its cutting-edge technologies and future-forward design.

Under the hood, the GAC crossover is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine producing 177 horsepower and 270 Nm of torque mated to a 7-speed wet dual-clutch automatic transmission.

It also carries various safety features, such as multiple airbags, Electronic Stability Program, Hill Start Hold and Hill Descent Control, and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System, to highlight a few of its key features. 

GAC also claims that the GAC Emkoo can do 16.1km/l, one of the lowest fuel consumption ratings among engines of the same displacement level.
