2023 Metro Manila Skyway Stage 3 Toll Fee Guide: Exploring Rates and Routes 01

Since its opening towards the end of 2020, Skyway Stage 3 has garnered immense popularity among motorists for two primary reasons. Firstly, it has remarkably reduced the time wasted in navigating through Metro Manila's congested traffic, allowing for faster travel between different points in the city. Secondly, the best part was that it was initially free of charge, adding to its appeal.

Regrettably, the era of free rides is drawing to a close. Starting from July 12, 2021, motorists will be required to pay toll fees to access this new infrastructure. This transition marks a crucial phase in public perception and acceptance of the toll system, as it will test how well it is embraced by the community.

Let's take a look at the latest Skyway Stage 3 complete toll fee table.

Alternative Route for Motorists Avoiding Skyway Stage 3

If you prefer not to pay the toll rates for Skyway Stage 3, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) wants to inform you about the available alternatives.

In a recent Facebook post, Bong Nebrija, the traffic chief of MMDA, shared that motorists who choose not to use Skyway Stage 3 can opt for the main North-South Mabuhay lane in Metro Manila.

"Hey guys, I heard that Skyway 3 will start charging tolls on Monday, July 12, 2021," the official mentioned. "In case there is an increase in the number of Skyway 3 users returning to Edsa, you may want to consider taking an alternate route towards the South."

Nebrija also mentioned that the MMDA is actively addressing issues such as illegal parking, conducting sidewalk clearing operations, and installing signs to guide motorists along this alternative route.

Certainly, this alternative route may not be as direct or as fast as using Skyway Stage 3, but it is a viable option. Are you considering using this Mabuhay Lane regularly from now on?
