The Toyota Veloz is the clone of the Avanza. It is a clone and not a sister or brother because it literally came from the top-tier of the latter. Now being a clone, it would share some of the same features of the Avanza. In this particular case, it is the same oily bits under the hood.

The Veloz, like the Avanza, has an inline 4-cylinder, 16-valve DOCH engine with Dual VVT-i. This produces about 106 horsepower and 138 Newton meters of torque. The engine is paired with a CVT for its transmission which chooses the exact power with the right simulated gears, enhancing fuel efficiency or power, with the Veloz's two driving modes – eco and power modes.

The Veloz has ample power to bring the car, along with its maximum of seven passengers, anywhere its passengers demand it to be. The engine is powerful enough to do this, but at the same time, small enough to ensure that performance does not come with a cost.

With just 43 liters of fuel capacity, the Veloz can go anywhere, everywhere. Get the Veloz for just PhP 1.185 million to PhP 1.24 million. Both variants, the G and the V share the same engine, but if you're going to ask me, I'll have you choose the V with its Toyota Safety Sense technology.
