2022 Toyota Veloz Short Review: Three Highlights it is Proud of

Mini Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV) Toyota Avanza has been in the automotive market since 2003. It has gained popularity and trust over the years because of its exemplary performance despite its affordable price point. By the time 2022, Toyota Motor Corporation announced that some markets, including the Philippines, will no longer have its top-of-the-line variant Toyota Avanza Veloz, as the Veloz gained its nameplate.

The Toyota Veloz

Toyota found a segment in the market perfect for a premium alternative to the Avanza, and that's when Toyota Veloz started its independence. The 2022 Veloz and Avanza shares most of their component specifications, including the powertrain system. According to Toyota, their main focus in developing the Veloz is to give the people a premium version of the Avanza. They have the same engines, the same body structure, but different aesthetic appeal, as the Veloz's exterior and interior appearance are enhanced to be upscaled.

Toyota Veloz's Highlights

Fuel Economy

One of the best-selling points of the 2022 Toyota Veloz is its impressive fuel economy, which it inherited from Avanza. Since they have almost the same powertrain components, including the engine and transmission properties, we could expect the same efficient output from the Veloz. According to Toyota, the Veloz returns 20.8 kilometers per liter on a mixed city and highway drive, which is a good figure if you are aiming to conserve fuel. Although of course, different factors contribute to the overall fuel consumption. Nonetheless, despite all factors, it still comes with a good fuel saving capability than its rivals in the market.

360-degree View

Given that the 2022 Toyota Avanza is a premium version of the Avanza, one of the upscaled features that its manufacturer has added for it to be special, is a 360-degree view with monitor reverse guidelines. This feature gives the driver a 360-degree view around the Veloz for safer and easier driving. It may be a standard feature for some car models this 2022, but it is almost unlikely for a Toyota of its price point to have a 360-degree camera. Plus, the driver could change the camera view with the control button on the steering wheel.

Around Php190,000 Difference

If you are about to get a 2022 Avanza, you might as well consider the Toyota Veloz. Because at around Php190,000, you can experience a premium version of what Avanza has to offer. There are several features present in the Veloz that might make you get it instead. There is of course its upscaled exterior and interior aesthetic approach that will make you feel that you are driving or riding a premium car. It also comes with a 360-degree view camera and monitor, which is very unlikely and unexpected for its price point in the market, and a lot more. For a slight difference, you could enjoy every feature available in the Veloz
