The 2023 Mitsubishi Xpander Cross will make its Philippine debut on January 26, 2023.
However, Mitsubishi Philippines has yet to reveal any official information concerning its specifications.
Thanks to sales executives from the brand, we got our hands on an indicative pricelist for the Mitsubishi seven-seater and the confirmed key upgrades for the 2023 Xpander Cross. And if the photos here from our Autofun Indonesia colleagues at the 2022 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show are any indication, the refreshed Xpander Cross looks very promising indeed.

Key changes to the Xpander Cross
Documentation from the sales executives confirmed our suspicions that the Mitsubishi seven-seater would be getting a new front fascia.
These exterior changes start with a new front bumper, grille, and T-shaped headlights.
The revisions also extend to the rear, where the 2023 Mitsubishi Xpander Cross gets updated T-shaped taillights and a new rear bumper.
That’s not all, however, as a revised alloy-wheel design will be present on the vehicle, along with a two-tone exterior color option, gloss-black roof rails, and new side sill garnishes.
One thing to note is that the badging for the Xpander Cross logo has been moved slightly further up due to a redesigned tailgate.
The Philippine Xpander Cross will not be getting a CVT according to our sales executive sources. Instead it will retain the four-speed automatic transmission that it shares with the regular Mitsubishi Xpander.
More premium interior
As for interior changes to the 2023 Mitsubishi Xpander Cross these start with a new dashboard design, which includes a more horizontal layout.
However, the Cross variant will get access to a new 8-inch LCD for its instrument cluster, along with a new steering wheel. It also brings new seatback pockets for the front row for a bit more utility.
Tougher suspension components
The 2023 Mitsubishi Xpander Cross has received changes to its rear suspension.
It now comes with bigger dampers, which some rumors state were from the second-generation Mitsubishi Montero Sport.
Aside from this, the Mitsubishi seven-seater also gets Active Yaw Control, which lets the vehicle brake the inside wheels when turning for better handling.
Still a competitive price point
Thanks to the brand's sales executives, who gave us a tentative pricelist, we found that the 2023 Mitsubishi Xpander Cross will have two variants.
These include:
- Xpander Cross (Monotone) – ₱1,328,000
- Xpander Cross (Two-tone) – ₱1,338,000
This represents about a ₱43,000 increase over the previous iteration of the vehicle.
According to our sources, the monotone variant will be available in either silver or gray, while the two-tone model will get Sunrise Orange and Quartz White Pearl with a black roof.
Note that the Quartz White Pearl is a premium color and will add ₱10,000 to the price of the vehicle.
Nothing has been officially announced yet as the 2023 Mitsubishi Xpander Cross will be launched on Jan. 26, 2023.
