No more beating around the bush as Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has confirmed that it will be launching the 2024 Toyota Yaris Cross on Aug. 4, 2023.
The carmaker confirmed in a July 2023 press statement that three variants will be available, including a hybrid model to add to its ever-increasing electrified fleet.
Pricing for the all-new Toyota Yaris Cross is still within our predictions as it will have the following suggested retail prices:
The Japanese automaker said the new Yaris Cross will be its “best-packaged electrified vehicle yet,” meaning that we will see a very well-kitted-out crossover.
Leaked specifications from the official TMP website indicate that the V and S variants will get the Toyota Safety Sense active-safety suite.
We could also see Gazoo Racing Sport kits available with the crossover, similar to what is available for the Indonesian market. It may not be its own variant, but the accessories will give the Yaris Cross a sportier touch.
“We believe that the upcoming introduction of the All-New Yaris Cross will further boost the current evolving era of electrified mobility in the Philippines,” said TMP first vice president for vehicle sales operations Danny Cruz.
“The HEV variant of the All-New Yaris Cross is further strengthening our widest lineup of electrified vehicles, and giving our customers an easier route to shift to high quality and reliable electrified mobility technology,” he continued.
The all-new 2024 Toyota Yaris Cross will make its public debut on Aug. 4, 2023 at the Amphitheater of Bonifacio High Street in Taguig City.
The event is open to everyone who wants to experience TMP’s wide variety of HEVs, including but not limited to the Camry, Corolla Altis, Corolla Cross, RAV4 and the recently launched Zenix HEV. The Yaris Cross will also be unveiled in all TMP dealerships nationwide on this date.
TMP will announce the full features and specifications of the new crossover on the launch day and will update the official website to reflect its official specifications.
Do you think the Yaris Cross can take on Chinese crossovers like the Geely Coolray, GAC GS3 Emzoom and Ford Territory head-on?
