SEC Motosupply, a supply chain of various motorcycle gear and accessories, officially introduces Airoh Helmets in the Philippines. Founded by Antonio Locatelli in Italy, the Airoh brand has gained 125 global motorsports titles in its 25-year history.
Airoh helmets are known for their top-notch impact resistance and material lightness, making them a constant in the international motorcycle racing scene both on-road and off-road.
A partner in safety
At the Airoh Helmets launch held last December 21, 2022, at the KRB MX Speedway in Antipolo City, SEC Motosupply also announced their partnership with Mel Aquino’s Yamaha Off-road Training Camp (MAYOTC). MAYOTC training coaches will use Airoh helmets in their training sessions, and those who purchase an Airoh helmet will receive a ₱2,500 discount voucher for MAYOTC courses.
“We believe in MAYOTC’s training style, and we are one with their advocacy in promoting motorcycle safety. Hence, we decided to bring in Airoh, which is a brand equally passionate in promoting safety,” shares Brian Secosana of SEC Motosupply.
MAYOTC also makes use of Yamaha WR155R, XTZ125, PW50 and Serow bikes for its training sessions.
All Airoh helmets start with a 3D modeling process and the subsequent simulation of their ability to absorb impacts via the FEM (Finite Element Method) technique. A wind tunnel is used to test its aerodynamic effectiveness, ventilation, and ergonomics.
Components then undergo the moulding phase, following different processes depending on the material used. Steam moulding is the best way to create the polystyrene shells, while a special injection moulding is used to process the HRT (High Resistant Thermoplastic) with a sophisticated melting technique. Finally, noble composite fibers and 3K carbon are layered by hand.
Painting and applying UV-resistant decals and inserting hand-stitched inner lining made of state-of-the-art materials enhance the product’s quality and appearance. Along the assembly lines, highly qualified personnel constantly check the quality during the assembly phases, intervening when needed to maintain the highest standards pursued by Airoh regularly.
The in-house crash lab runs strict tests that exceed the standards set by safety-related laws and certify the absolute quality of each Airoh helmet.
Airoh helmets are now available at SEC Motosupply stores and will soon be available through other SEC dealer partners. To learn more about the Airoh brand, you may visit www.airoh.com.
