So, you fancy yourself as an adventure rider?
However, your budget requires a proper ADV bike for weekends and a practical weekday scooter. Well, you are not alone.
That’s why there is such a thing as an adventure scooter, which has recently gained much attention. Here are some of the popular adventure scooters that were launched in 2022.
Aprilia SR GT 200
The SR GT 200 features a tall, protective windscreen above the front panel that resembles the Tuono V4.
The 174 cc i-get mill produces 18 PS and 16.5 Nm of torque, which is more than adequate grunt for exploring the urban jungle and beyond.
It boasts a suspension setup with a larger diameter than its closest rivals, with a longer stroke to take on various terrain.
KYMCO DT X360 350
The biggest of the bunch, the KYMCO DT X360 350, has the longest model name.
It’s hardly surprising, coming from the manufacturer that named a scooter “Bet and Win.” The DT X360 350 comes with a 321 cc liquid-cooled engine that produces 28 PS and 29 Nm of torque.
Given its size, taking the DT X360 350 might require a bit of skill when riding off-road, but this also makes it ideal for long-distance touring.
KYMCO also did not scrimp on safety, with dual-channel anti-lock brakes and traction control offered as standard.
Honda ADV160
This one needs no introduction.
What the Honda ADV160 needs, though, is more stocks. High global demand for this popular adventure scooter makes supply very limited, especially in this part of the globe.
ADV160 fans, nevertheless, are happy to wait. Its 157 cc liquid-cooled eSP+ engine produces 16 PS and 14.7 Nm of torque.
The ADV160 also features a manually adjustable windscreen and dual rear shock absorbers with a gas sub-tank.
It is also equipped with anti-lock brakes in front and Honda Selectable Torque Control (traction control) at the rear.
FKM Venture 150
The Venture 150 looks ready for some serious off-roading with its rugged styling, meaty, semi-knobby tires, and a front fork that even comes with boots.
Yet, it also offers a bit of sophistication in the form of a 7-inch LCD. It also features a keyless operation system and dual-channel anti-lock brakes.
The Venture 150 is propelled by a 150 cc liquid-cooled 4-valve engine that produces 16 PS and 14.6 Nm of torque.
Skygo KPV150
Also known as the Lifan KPV LF150T-8, the KPV150 is the most compact adventure scooter on this list.
It also features an inverted fork in front and a single shock at the rear, giving that clean, streamlined look. Its 149 cc liquid-cooled engine produces 12 PS and 11.8 Nm of torque.
It might not be the best-performing in its class, but you have to admit
– it's unique styling really grows on you.
