In line with the latest automotive innovations in vehicles today, Japanese automobile manufacturer Toyota introduced one of its award-winning crossover vehicles - Rav4 in a hybrid version. In the past years, Rav4 has received numerous accolades because of its powerful road performance. Aside from its remarkable performance reputation, it now comes in a hybrid system that will be efficient and versatile for its users.

According to its test drivers, the new Rav4 HEV still has its classic strength in pulling the load effortlessly and smoothly. Although according to some, they were disappointed that the Toyota Rav4 HEV is available in the Philippine market only in a front-wheel-drive configuration instead of having a 4x4 drivetrain configuration option. According to Toyota Motor Philippines, the reason behind this is that the majority of its potential buyers opt for a 4x2 configuration and not the 4x4.

Nonetheless, even though it doesn't come with the 4x4 configuration, the power from the engine transmitted by its eight-speed CVT is more than enough to pull the weight, especially when accelerated. Speaking about acceleration, the acceleration kicks right away whenever prompted, it is as responsive as its brakes. Although the brakes could be aggressive at times, there is a learning curve to be familiarized with how the brakes work in terms of sensitivity.

On the other hand, its hybrid functions automatically, which is efficient for the driver and the entire powertrain system. Whenever you step on the brakes or go downhill, that is when the batteries recharge themselves to push the power to the electric motor and aid the automobile. What is commendable is that even though it transitions, you cannot feel it happening, it's that seamless. The electric motor works, even during an uphill climb or downhill descent. SO far, it is one of the most powerful and well-crafted hybrid automobiles on the market today.
