Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) recently concluded the 18th edition of its Isuzu Service Skills Olympics (ISSO) in its assembly plant in Laguna.
The annual event puts representatives of the brand’s nationwide dealership network against one another in competition to showcase their technical competency and service knowledge of Isuzu vehicles.
A total of 29 teams from different dealerships nationwide participated in the competition. Each team comprises a Service Advisor, Parts Staff, and two Service Technicians. The team went through varying stages of knowledge and skills testing related to their respective roles in the service shop.
“With your commitment, we can achieve the number one truck brand title for 23 consecutive years. People continue to trust the Isuzu brand because of the Isuzu advantage that we offer, which is our top-notch aftersales service and support,” said IPC President Tetsuya Fujita
Fujita also acknowledged the dealership network’s efforts that were able to give the company a Tripple Star Award for four consecutive years, awarded by its principal company Isuzu Motors Limited, Japan (IML).
Winners of this year’s ISSO for Service Advisor Category were:
Maria Noemi Cabaltera (Isuzu Makati)
Marius Adrian Pablo (Isuzu Cabanatuan)
Cryser Ryan Carmona (Isuzu Pasig)
Clinching the Parts Staff Category winners were:
Riza May Cabus (Isuzu Pagbilao)
Felipines Bangcaya (Isuzu Bulacan)
Hazel Ann Ramos (Isuzu Calapan)
While the Service Technician Category Champions were:
Deolito Galono & Raymundo Eduque III (Isuzu Bulacan)
Christopher Jateco & Romeo Nayanga Jr. (Isuzu Pasig)
Sani James Maghanoy & Alex Roble (Isuzu Cagayan De Oro)
After computing all the category points, Isuzu Bulacan was hailed as the Dealer Grand Champion.
ISSO also serves as a platform for selecting the team representing IPC in the prestigious I-1GP Competition in Japan, which will be held later this year.
IML Executive Officer and Vice President for Aftersales, Mr. Naohiko Yanagawa, who observed the competition, noted that “Globally, Filipinos are known to be very talented and dedicated workers, which is why it is not surprising that almost every year Isuzu Philippines will get a podium finish at the Isuzu I-1 Grand Prix World Technical Competition (I-1GP),”
Does Isuzu Bulacan have what it takes to represent the country internationally?
