Toyota Motor Philippines has quietly launched the 2024 Toyota Alphard Hybrid. The fourth generation of the luxury MPV brings new styling, features, and, most importantly, hybrid power.

The all-new model has officially appeared on the brand’s local website under the “Electrified” category, cementing its position as a hybrid vehicle. 

All-new Exterior

The Alphard's exterior retains its predecessor's boxy design but now comes with a new front fascia dominated by a massive grill adorned in chrome. It also gets a new bumper with chrome foglight accents and black bezels.

Moving over the side, the luxury MPV gets a new set of 19-inch wheels wrapped in 225/55 series tires. Something to note is that the Alphard now gets a kink in its body line near the power sliding door to give it a unique look for its side profile. 

The 2024 Toyota Alphard retains its large tailgate design at the back but now sports new LED taillights with a unique multi-layer layout. It also has the word Alphard speed out on the black accent on the tailgate. Reflectors are still present in the MPV but are now oriented vertically and on the rear bumper. 

As for its measurements, the MPV is now 5010mm long, 1,850 mm wide, and 1,950 mm tall. It has a wheelbase of 3000 mm thanks to its new TNGA-K platform. It also has approximately 220 mm worth of ground clearance. 

Spacious and luxurious interior

On the inside, the Toyota Alphard retains its luxurious interior with soft leather found in key places and even on the sliding doors. 

Something important to note is that the local version of the MPV gets the black and gold interior scheme, which is present in select photos of the vehicle displayed on its official webpage.

The Alphard gets dual-zone climate control, a 12.3-inch full digital gauge cluster, and a 14-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. A 15-speaker JBL sound system is also available with the vehicle.

In addition, the MPV gets power leather captain’s seats with 8-way adjustability with a manual slide function. It also has a table and smart control remote for the seats.

A new addition to the Alphard is its twin sunroofs positioned above the captain’s chairs, giving the MPV a more spacious and luxurious feel. 

Hybrid power

Under the hood, the 2024 Toyota Alphard is powered by a 2.5-liter hybrid powerplant that produces a maximum system output of 233 PS and 270 Nm of torque. It has a nickel-metal hydride battery to support the hybrid drivetrain. Toyota says that the MPV can get 17.5km/l for the local version with the new powerplant. As for its fuel tank capacity, the Alphard gets a 60-liter tank. 

Toyota Safety Sense

As standard, the 2024 Toyota Alphard comes with the brand’s suite of safety features. It means that the luxury MPV gets access to the following: 

Pre-collision system
Automatic High Beam
Adaptive High Beam system
Lane Tracing Assist
Lane Departure Alert
Cruise Control.

These features include six airbags, vehicle stability control, hill start assist, a blind spot monitor, rear cross-traffic alert, a panoramic view camera, and sonar for the front and rear.

Pricing for the 2024 Toyota Alphard starts at ₱4,980,000 for the standard model and ₱5,000,000 for the special color option.
