The hybrid system can rocket the crossover SUV from 0 to 100 km/h in about 7.6 seconds. The Tiggo 8 Pro PHEV e+ also boasts a total electric range of 75 kilometers.
Power is sent to the wheels via a Dedicated Hybrid Transmission. It has three gear ratios that intelligently work with the engine and its dual motor setup, with each powertrain functioning independently.
Like other hybrid vehicles on the market, the internal combustion engine (ICE) of the Tiggo 8 Pro PHEV e+ comes online at speeds above 60 km/h. The ICE can also turn on at lower speeds to help move the vehicle along.
The new variant of the Tiggo 8 Pro PHEV e+ also boasts nine driving modes such as single/dual motor drive, range extension, parallel connection, direct engine drive, and 11 gear combinations, thus providing a full-scene driving experience.
Pricing
The Chery Tiggo 8 Pro-PHEV e+ retails at ₱2,698,000, which puts it above the likes of the Toyota Fortuner and Mitsubishi Montero and into premium vehicle territory thanks to its almost ₱2.7 million price tag.
