The Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) 60th Anniversary Expo provided more information regarding the 2024 Mitsubishi Triton.
While the event was meant to serve as a grand celebration of the brand’s extensive history in the country, it was also used as a launching pad to reveal more about its next-generation pick-up truck.
MMPC president Takeshi Hara said in a press conference that the Japanese automaker has plans to launch the all-new Triton on January 2024.
MMPC also said the Mitsubishi Strada nameplate is no longer available and that the pick-up truck will now be called the Triton to keep up with globalization and simplify its naming conventions.
The pick-up truck will feature the brand’s evolved version of the Dynamic Shield design language with a broader front, signature bumper-mounted headlights and an iconic large grille design.

Aside from this, the pickup truck will come with a more spacious and modern interior. Mitsubishi has even adjusted the A-pillars of the car to make it easier to enter and exit.

Expect to find the latest technology inside the pickup truck, including automatic climate control, a massive infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities and a digital display inside the gauge cluster.
More power!

Under the hood, the new pickup truck is powered by a new 2.4-liter turbodiesel engine called the 4N16.
It produces 204 PS and 470 Nm of torque and sends power to all four corners of the vehicle via a 6-speed automatic transmission.
The pickup truck now uses a new Mega Frame chassis, which gives the Triton better off-road capabilities, while being more comfortable.
